SCL Ireland – Young Practitioners Essay Competition

SCL Ireland are delighted to invite entries from ‘Young Practitioners’ to enter the SCL Ireland Essay Competition

Please submit an essay related to a subject of relevance including (but not restricted to) Construction & Engineering Contracts, Contract Administration, Claims, Arbitration and Dispute Resolution, The Law of Torts, Company Law, Property, Taxation related to construction of any other aspect of law of procedure relevant to the construction industry in Ireland – limited to 3,000 words.

The judging panel will give considerable weight to the freshness of the ideas and the value of the work: especially to the originality of thought/approach and contribution to the study or practice of construction law or its application in Ireland.

1st Prize - €1,000 – and the opportunity to present your essay at the 2026 SCL Ireland Conference
2nd Prize €500
