Public Procurement Law Post Brexit

Sarah Hannaford QC

Public procurement law is on the point of major reform as the Government looks to define a new post Brexit, UK legal regime to replace that which has been in operation during the country’s membership of the European Union.  A Green Paper on how this area of law could be reformed was published earlier this year and a new public procurement bill was trailed in the Spring Queen’s Speech, possibly for publication this Autumn.  In an on line talk for the Society for Construction Law, Sarah Hannaford QC, a leading light in public procurement, gave her thoughts on how the new law will work out and in addition covered a number of recent public procurement cases.
