Former chair of the General Council of the Bar of South Africa Jeremy Gauntlett SC KC (who practices in Cape Town, Johannesburg and from Brick Court Chambers, London) spoke with Paul Darling KC. Gauntlett and Darling, who is based in 39 Essex Chambers, were moderated by Irish arbitrator Susan Ahern. The panel looked at the idea that "advocacy doesn't travel". In discussing this theme they offered ideas and strategies that would be relevant to construction lawyers who may appear in courts and tribunals outside their home jurisdiction.
