Vote on Proposed Changes to the SCL Constitution
All members are invited to vote on proposed changes to the Society of Construction Law UK Constitution. The voting deadline is 20 May 2026, 6pm.
SCL Council is recommending certain changes be made to the Society's Constitution and governance structure and seeks the approval of these changes from the membership via an electronic vote as part of the 2026 AGM. The rationale for these changes can be seen in this Explanatory Note, and the Changes themselves can be seen in a marked-up version of the Constitution, here. There are two sets of immediate proposed changes to the Constitution and one request for a mandate from the membership to undertake preparatory work for a larger future governance change.
In accordance with Clause 12 of the Constitution, you are invited to vote on these changes.
We are using an online election system to tabulate our votes. All members have been sent an email with a secure link to cast their votes. If you have election questions, feedback or want to be removed from future ballot lists, please email Edward Peters at webmaster@scl.org.uk.
