A paper based on a talk given to the conference 'Delivering Infrastructure:
International Best Practice' organised by the Society of Construction
Law, Centre of Construction Law at King's College London, European
Society for Construction Law and Society of Construction Arbitrators and
held in London on 12th July 2002.

This paper by Mikael Wahlgren (whose background is the power sector)
focuses on employers' and developers' general attitude to
FIDIC's Silver and Yellow Books (Conditions of Contract for EPC
Turnkey Projects and for Plant and Design-Build). In particular, he looks
at the clauses most likely to cause them concern, and those which may
be said to favour employers.
