Quentin Tannock of 4 Pump Court will provide a brief introduction to liquidated damages in construction contracts, using this as the context for a discussion of issues around the recovery of liquidated damages against a range of potential defendants in contract and tort.  In addition to discussing well-known cases including Cavendish Square HoldingsDunlop Pneumatic Tyre Co and Triple Point Technology Inc, Quentin will introduce questions arising from software, shipping and credit hire cases that may have bearing on the recoverability of liquidated damages in your matters.

Quentin Tannock is a barrister at 4 Pump Court. His practice has a strong focus on hearing advocacy in arbitrations and litigations including in disputes arising in the construction, commercial and software sectors.
