The distinction between absolute and reasonable skill and care obligations has been a vexed one which has resulted in a series of recent important court decisions considering both scope of design responsibility and design life issues.  Anneliese Day KC will explore this case law in detail, provide some practical guidance and seek to consider how the law in this area may be developed in the future.
