SCL Astra presents a series of webinars introducing the cornerstones of construction law and other topics which may be of interest to our SCL Astra members.

Public procurement law regulates the award of contracts by public bodies and certain utilities and public monopolies.  The UK public sector as a whole spends some £238 billion on goods, services, works and utilities. This represents approximately 13% of Gross Domestic Product (GDP).  Tendering for public contracts also accounts for a staggering level of resources of private organisations who compete for these lucrative opportunities.  This seminar explores this regulatory framework, specifically looking at the obligations of public buyers towards bidders.  It also discusses how the rules are changing as a result of the UK's departure from the EU and the way in which Government is using procurement to achieve policy aims such as combating climate change.

Please also note this event will attract .75 CPD hour unless otherwise advised at the beginning.
