Summary of 'full' membership benefits

You have access to regular meetings in many parts of the UK. See our events page for upcoming events.

We will post to you a hard copy of every SCL paper that is published after the date that you join. See our papers page for the full list to date.

Members may download online papers free, while there is a charge for non members. We may also be introducing other members-only benefits on the site.

You will be listed in our annual Membership Directory and a hard copy of the Directory will be posted to you.

You have free use of the library at the Centre of
Construction Law, King's College London in the Strand, London.

There is an AGM held in May every year, followed by a dinner. There are also luncheon meetings with a speaker, to which members and their guests may come. In addition refreshments are served, either before or after a number of meetings.

A number of periodicals and conferences are available to members at reduced rates.

Please note that these benefits apply to members of SCL UK only, and not to members of our sister Societies.

The annual subscription is £100, payable in January each year. There is also an additional initial joining fee of £65. Your first year's subscription covers the period up to 31st December of the year in which you join the Society. For applications approved after 30 September, the subscription will be deemed to cover the remainder of that year and the entire following calendar year.

As part of your application, you will need to pay the joining fee and first year's subscription in advance. They will both be refunded in full in the unlikely event that your application is rejected.
