Applying for membership of SCL UK

How to apply

You are welcome to apply for membership of SCL. This page describes the process. For information about annual membership fees, please click here. The annual fees are discounted pro rata in each quarter, and membership is always due for renewal at the end of the calendar year.

As part of your application, you will need to pay the joining fee and first year's subscription in advance. They will both be refunded in full in the unlikely event that your application is rejected.

When you click the link to Apply, at the bottom of this page, you will be taken to an application form. Please note that:

  • You must enter the same email address as the one you have registered with your user account.
  • You are encouraged to add a second, alternate email address which we will only use in the event that your primary one fails.
  • Very few fields on the form are mandatory, but you must fill in the Degrees & qualifications field and the Current involvement field, as these will influence whether your application is accepted or not.

On saving the application form, you will be taken to the payment process:

  1. You will first find yourself viewing your 'Cart' with the type of membership you selected added to the Cart.
  2. Click 'Checkout' to continue, and complete the billing information fields.
To apply for membership you must first be logged in. Please either log in, or register for this website.
