Projects involving major tunnelling and underground works involve particular – even unique – features and risks when compared to predominantly 'above ground' projects. This talk will consider the range of procurement and contracting strategies and practices for tunnelling and underground works projects, including the choice of contract form, approaches to ground conditions and design risk and pricing in the context of the key commercial, engineering, risk management and insurance factors.
