An Exercise in Utility: a Liquidator' Right to Adjudicate

SCL Webinar

Now that the Supreme Court has reached its decision in Bresco v Lonsdale, our speakers revisit the talk they gave after the first instance decision. The talk will cover the interaction between adjudication and insolvency law, the safeguards that exist to prevent potential injustice when parties who are successful in adjudication may not have the ability to repay the sums temporarily awarded by adjudicators, and the recently confirmed ability of liquidators to adjudicate. The speakers will also consider the practical implications, which are of immediate relevance in the current COVID (or post-COVID) climate. Please note this event will attract 1 CPD hour unless otherwise advised at the beginning.
