SCL PAPERS

The papers published by the Society since 1984 are listed in two sections: up to 1998, and since 1999. You can access the lists via the navigation on the left.

The numbered papers are published in hard copy and, where indicated, are also available for viewing online and to download. Those whose reference number begins with 'D' are only available online/as downloads. For instructions on how to obtain these papers, please read the information below.

PRINTED PAPERS

Printed papers cost £5 each, including postage to any part of the world (those marked with an asterisk are no longer available).

There are 2 ways of purchasing:
(1) Visit our secure online shop, and pay by debit card (prefered - as it saves the Society costs) or credit card.
(2) Print out the order form and send it with your cheque (made payable to the Society of Construction Law) to the address on the form.

ONLINE/DOWNLOADABLE PAPERS IN PDF FORMAT

A number of papers are also available for viewing online and downloading subject to the terms and conditions below. They are all in Adobe Acrobat (PDF) format; if you do not have Acrobat Reader you can obtain it for free. (If you have problems, email our webmaster).

These papers are available as follows:

1) SCL MEMBERS AND THOSE STUDYING OR TEACHING IN ACADEMIC INSTITUTIONS
You may view/download these papers free. You must first register and obtain a user name and password by clicking either Member registration or Academic registration. If you have registered but have forgotten your password, you can request this information be emailed to you.

2) THOSE NOT ENTITLED TO FREE VIEWING/DOWNLOADS
You can purchase individual papers in PDF format for £2.50 per paper. Please note the reference number of the paper(s) you wish to purchase and then visit our secure online shop. When you have paid, you will immediately have access to a special folder from which you can download the file. These PDF files are only available when purchased online.

Terms and conditions for downloading:
In accessing or downloading any online material, you are deemed to agree that:
1. you will access/download papers for your own personal use only and (if applicable) will not divulge your password to any other person;
2. you note that copyright in the papers is held by the author/the author and the Society of Construction Law jointly;
3. you give an irrevocable indemnity for yourself (and any person to whom you pass the material) to SCL against any loss or damage that it might suffer or that might be claimed against it consequent upon, or in any way related to, the use or non use of the material.
